Home Based Wellness Business
Our Primary Mission
Nutritional Supplement Info is primarily a site dedicated to information on supplements.
For those who are only interested in learning about the best supplements, with no interest in also starting a potentially very lucrative home based business, please click here. For those who are also interested in building up a possibly very profitable business from the comfort of your home, read the rest of this page. (And according to a Harris Poll, 72% of Americans are interested in starting their own business and being their own boss).
This information could change your life.
First, avoid the Scams
Let's face it, we're all constantly bombarded with so-called businesss opportunities.
I'm sure you've even seen many of these opportunities being advertised on telephone poles and at intersections in your local town, especially the work at home variety.
Most of these are outright scams...variants of the "stuff envelopes from home" type opportunities.
Many people fall for these illegitimate opportunities because they seem to offer the primrose path to success.
The truth, however, is there is no such thing as a legitimate business that can turned into a valuable asset with little or no work.
Nobody is going to pay you $25 dollars an hour to stuff envelopes at home, no matter how appealing it may sound.
Once you accept this reality, you are ready to dig down into the nitty gritty and evaluate what a legitimate business opportunity should have.
A Check List for True Business Success
Just because many biz opps from home are fraudulent doesn't mean you can't find a diamond in the rough, IF you know what to look for.
In his book "The Wellness Revolution, How to Make a FORTUNE in the Next TRILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY" New York Times Bestselling author and economic advisor to two presidential administrations, Paul Zane Pilzer believes that Wellness products and services (such as Nutritional Supplements) are going to create the next massive wave of millionares.
Pilzer goes on to state:
"Experienced entrepreneurs and investors look for all five of the following characteristics to be present before they launch a new mass-market business"
1) Affordability -- this simply means just what it says. That the product is affordable to the masses.
2) Legs -- This simply means that the product or service can basically "sell itself". Pilzer notes that "cars, televisions, and PCs are all products that consumers immediately want once they see them being enjoyed by others." Therefore, it's important to make sure you get involved with a business that has a product people can understand immediately. Ask yourself: "Do people 'get' this product immediately, or does it take a slow painful process to explain its benefits?"
3) Continual Consumption -- This means that the product should ideally be usable and, therefore, have to be purchased over and over again. One example are nutritional supplements. Once you run out, you need to buy more if you want to continue receiving their benefits.
4) Universal Appeal -- Pretty self explanatory. Will the product appeal to a large cross section of the population, and even trascend culture and be desired by people in many countries?
5) Low consumption time -- Pilzer says that "This is the greatest challenge today for new products and services seeking to become ubiquitous--busy consumers must have time to enjoy them." In short, the product must be very easy and quick to use. If it's a big fuss and hassle to use it, it's simply going to have a very difficult time in gaining mass appeal and use.
Other Crucial Considerations
Pilzer makes some very astute points, but there are some other factors to consider as well.
First, if you get involved with a biz opp, it's important to investigate the financial stability of the company you get involved with. Do they have sufficient capital to see their vision through?
Second, how much experience does the management team have? And what caliber of people are you dealing with?
As we've all seen from recent years, many companies, even ones with tens of thousands of people, can go belly up rapidly in the face of poor or corrupt management. Just think Enron or Worldcom.
Third, you should be careful about getting involved with companies that have "me too" products. Meaning: they are latching onto a concept that has been previously successful for a different company and trying to ride off its coattails. "Me too" type companies almost never capture the same level of market share or experience the same degree of success as the innovators.
Ride the Trends
If you really want to get involved with a biz opp with truly enormous potential, you should also maintain a careful eye for seismic trends.
The perfect metaphor is watching a surfer catching a large wave and letting it propel him for an awesome and exhilirating ride.
Likewise, the business you get involved with should ideally be at the forefront of large, inexorable trends.
One such trend is the aging baby boomer population. Unlike previous generations, the baby boomers are not accepting their encroaching middle aged years and willing to fight it every step of the way. And they have the money to do so.
Another huge trend as we all are aware of now is the obesity epidemic, especially in the Western world. 70% of the population in the Western world is now overweight or obese. Billions and billions of dollars are spent every year on weight loss products and other measures to help people shed unsightly and unhealthy pounds.
Not only are these trends massive, but they are going to be around for decades. Businesses that meet the criteria above and riding atop these trends are going to profit handsomely for the forseeable future.
Find Your Passion
My passion in life happens to be health and family. As part of my health protocol, I've been taking nutritional supplements for years and years, and therefore used one of my passions to create this site.
Your passion may be in wellness or health, but it may not.
Perhaps you love golf, or fishing, or gardening...or something else.
The fact of the matter is we all have interests, passions, or hobbies.
And, as long as you have one -- just one -- you have what it takes to build a business from the comfort of your home.

Welcome to WELLNESS

Hellow Everybody.
This blog on wellness aims at bringing out latest developments in human welfare, particularly the physical wellness. As you know, wellness has been defined as the well-being of a person in physical, mental, and spiritual spheres. We will focus on the physical well-being of humans.
To many of us wellness meant the absence of any illness. This concept has changed now. Even in the abscence of any perceptable illness, our body needs to be looked after so that it functions properly and the chance of becoming ill or getting old is minimised. This requires a proper supply of nutrition so that the body maintains its immunity to resist diseases.
The free radical theory of aging and diseases will be the basis of our discussions and nutrition from food and supplements will be discussed.
I invite all to this blog.
